The aim of this work was to develop a modification of Blender to provide the support for the main types of stereoscopic projection.
In the related article, we have described stereoscopic methods and their practical implementation in the application. After some adjustments, the stereoscopic scheme can be used for production and modelling directly in the scene. Even though the game engine, an integrated part of Blender, already contains the support for the stereoscopic projection, it is only designed as a way to view complete applications and does not facilitate the use of the stereoscopic scheme in the design of three-dimensional models, scenes or animations. The motivation for adding the stereoscopic projection was an effort to expand the existing users possibilities in modelling. At the end of our paper, we have described practical tests of newly developed extension. We have also pointed out on some problems, we have encountered, and their solutions.
